Overseas Projects

State Grid has built up ten cross-border power transmission lines between China and neighboring countries such as Russia, Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan with a total power trade volume of more than 20TWh. Currently, State Grid is engaged in the early stage of the construction of China-Mongolia, China-Russia, China-Nepal, China-Pakistan and other grid interconnection projects. A series of power infrastructure connectivity projects are under construction. Ethiopia-Kenya DC Power Transmission Project is expected to be put into operation at the end of 2018 and Turkey-Iran Grid Interconnection Back-to-back Project has started construction.
