International Standards

Standard is the universal language for international cooperation and connectivity development and the technological foundation of global governance system as well as economic and trade cooperation. Promoting Chinese standards to “go global”faster to serve policy communication, infrastructure connectivity, trade facilitation, capital flows and people-to-people exchange, is of great significance to promote the building of “Belt and Road” Initiative. Bearing this in mind, State Grid has attached great importance to the development of international standards and Chinese electric engineering technologies and standards to become international standards so as to improving the influence and say of China in international electric engineering industry. In May, 2013, Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China awarded State Grid with the title of “International Standardization Innovation Demonstration Base” as a recognition and encouragement of our efforts in the area. Since 2009, State Grid has registered 33 and 11 international standards in IEC and IEEE respectively, in which 20 have been officially released. Besides, State Grid has also initiated and established 12 technological report work groups in CIGRE.
