| On December 17, State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) signed partner deal with the Coordination Bureau of World Expo 2010 Shanghai to become the eighth global partner of Shanghai Expo, providing power supply and power services.
It is reported that, SGCC has made detailed plans and preparations for the power services of Shanghai Expo at the beginning stage of planning. Projects such as the 500kV World Expo Substation, Beijing West Road ¨C Huaxia Road Power Tunnel, etc. that are under construction will provide strong supports for the electric supply of Shanghai Expo. According to the plan, in 2010, two 220kV substations and five 110 kV substations will also be built to provide the World Expo sites with electric power directly as core electric power projects. In addition, SGCC will organize a special professional service team for Shanghai Expo, and adopt convenient service measures such as "offering services in earnest"(namely "one-door service") and cooperate with the Coordination Bureau of Shanghai World Expo to work well for preliminary works, such as the construction of related exhibition halls. Additionally, the preparation of drawing a guarantee scheme to safeguard power supply and services during the period of Shanghai World Expo, is in full swing.
SGCC indicates that the cooperation with Shanghai 2010 World Expo will be favorable for promoting the brands of both World Expo and SGCC so as to realize the win-win outcome of brands promotion of both parties. SGCC will promote the brands of World Expo and State Grid in an all-around way, taking advantage of its coverage of 26 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.
