On December 16, "China National Brand and Corporate Social Responsibility Summit Forum - 2007 Corporate Social Responsibility Survey Announcement & Awarding Ceremony" was held in the conference center of NPC, SGCC won the ¡°China Social Responsibility Award¡± with the highest score.

It is reported that 69 domestic enterprises and 49 foreign enterprises have participated in the E-voting of "China Social Responsibility Award". The organizing committee has made comprehensive evaluation according to vote, SMS and on-site survey. As a result, 20 enterprises at home and abroad, including SGCC, PetroChina, China Mobile, ExxonMobil. Siemens, HP China, Nokia and McDonald's, etc. have won the award, amongst which SGCC ranks in the first place.

The evaluation activity aims to public enterprises, national brands and civic-minded figures that have made great contributions to Chinese economy. It is organized by Studytimes of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, China Enterprise Community Duty Research Association and China National Brand Association, etc. and jointly demonstrated by approximately 100 Internet media such as xinhuanet, China. com, sina, etc., attracting much attention from all walks of life.

The Award has also be awarded to 10 Chinese Civic-minded Figures, including Li Jiacheng, board chairman of Cheung Kong Group, Lu Tingxiu, board chairman of China Electric Equipment Group and 30 "Chinese National Brands", such as Wuliangye Group and Jianlibao Group.
