Along with successful closing of 29th Beijing Olympic Games, State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) successfully fulfilled the task of securing power supply for the Olympics.

It is reported that during the Olympic Games, SGCC secured safe and reliable power supply for all the Olympic activities, and won high praise from BOC. SGCC will try the best to fulfill the task of power supply for another one month during the Paralympic Games to ensure two equally exciting Olympics.

According to the statistic, 167,106 staffs from SGCC participated into the task of securing reliable power supply during the Olympic Games. The headquarters assembled over 3000 backbones and 300 emergency vehicles from 16 provincial companies of SGCC like Zhejiang to support the power supply for Beijing Olympics. It also deployed 93 emergency electric generators in various Olympic-related cities to provide the service of emergency power supply.

The Paralympic Games will be held on Sept. 6th and power supply will continue for another month. SGCC demands to fulfill the task of power supply for the Paralympic Games with ¡°the same standard and the same requirement¡± and has adopted effective measures to ensure complete success of power supply for the Paralympic Games.
