| Management teams with significant responsibility have great impact upon the development of a company. Further enhancing the quality and capability of senior executives is always crucial to the talent construction of SGCC. In the afternoon of October 17, the company convened for the kick-off meeting of the Sixth Training Abroad for senior executives. 18 trainees would leave to GE in America for two-weeks training.
In 2006, though under heavy tasks of reform and development, SGCC's management made a decision to send senior executives of each departments at headquarters, subsidiaries and affiliates companies to world renowned enterprises for training. Eight training groups were planned in around four years. The five previous training classes covered 101 trainees who will respectively go to Siemens in Germany, ABB Group in Switzerland and GE in America for around 15-days' training. Most of them believe the training is fruitful and a large part of what they learned has been applied to their daily work to promote corporate development.
It is reported that such training activity have attracted the attention of related ministries and commissions of the central government. The Organization Department and SASAC also gave a full affirmation upon such training after organizing an study tour to SGCC in this aspects.
