Fortune Magazine disclosed the latest ranking of global 500 largest corporations. The list is based on the operating revenue of enterprises. SGCC is ranked No. 15 with $164.1359 billion revenue in 2008, up from 24th in 2008, and is the top 3 Chinese enterprises in the listing. SGCC is still the world No. 1 among all selected public utility enterprises.

The ranking of Fortune global 500 largest enterprises from the Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong this year saw a great increase with 43 company included in the list, 8 more than the number of last year. Sinopec and PetroChina rank No. 9 and 13 among Fortune 500, being No. 1 and No. 2 among Chinese enterprises respectively.
