China initiated another Olympic event, "The State Grid Cup Contest, Call for Essays - One World, One Dream, Worldwide Chinese Expecting 2008 Olympics" on September 4th, 2007 at The Fourth Forum on The Global Chinese Language Media.

The event, co-hosted by the State Grid Corporation of China and China News Agency, aims at an opportunity for all Chinese around the world to express their understandings of, experiences about and good wishes for the 2008 Olympics. Other Essays related to the Games are also welcomed, such as survey reports, suggestions, commonweal documentaries of Olympic events, personal stories, apothegms and mottos etc. Acceptable forms of the Essays include papers, pictures, digital videos and cartoons.

The event will last from September 2007 to June 2008. Essays can be uploaded online on the official website (www.SG2008.chinanews.com.cn), sent to the email address of SG2008@chinanews.com.cn, or mailed via postal service to the office of China News Agency (No. 12, Baiwanzhuang South Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, China. Postal Code: 100037).

Some visits for collecting theme materials attended by domestic media will be organized at the end of 2007. The awarding ceremony will be held in June, 2008.
