The biomass combustion generation project with wheat stalks and cornstalks as fuel has been successfully completed by National Bio-Energy Co. in Jun County of Henan Province. This is the first yellow stalks biomass power generating project in China. A generating unit of 1*25MW has been connected to the grid on Oct. 13th, which is a new breakthrough in the development of biomass combustion electric generating units with yellow stalks such as wheat stalks and cornstalks as fuel, filling a gap in the yellow stalks combustion generation. This also means that after the mastering of grey stalks combustion technology in Shan County Biomass Project last December,State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has successfully mastered the yellow stalks biomass combustion technology. This will have profound impact on the effective utilization of crop stalks in China.
