The System commissioning of 500 KV Yimin-Fengtun TCSC project has been successfully completed at 19:40 on Oct. 23rd, which indicates this project is ready for operation.

Yimin-Fengtun TCSC project is the first 500 KW TCSC projects which has proprietary intellectual property rights in our country. This project adopts hybrid approach which combines TCSC and FSC. The capacity of FSC reaches to 2¡Á544 megavar, the degree of serial compensation is 30%; the capacity of TCSC reaches to 2¡Á326 megavar, the degree of serial compensation is 15%. This is a serial compensation system whose compensation capacity is the biggest and whose system operation environment is most complicated in the world right now.

After the Yimin-Fengtun TCSC project is built, the output capacity of Yimin will increase about 1000KW, which can replace the construction of one loop 500 KW transmission line. This project has not only has saved several billions of investment, but also preserved the precious and primordial ecological environment and promoted the coordination and sustainable development between the environment and the economy.
