Both Total and Secondary Industry Power Consumption Witnessed a year-on-year Growth from Jan. to April

From January to April this year, power consumption in China totaled 1,930.9TWh with a year-on-year growth of 6.7%, which is 3.8 percentage points higher than that of the previous year. To be more specific, the power consumption of the primary industry stood at 28.9TWh with a year-on-year growth of 6.7%, accounting for 1.5% of the total; the secondary industry consumed 1,348.1TWh of electricity with a year-on-year growth of 6.9%, 6.7 percentage points higher than that of the previous year, accounting for 69.8% of the total; while the power consumption of the tertiary industry reached 273.3TWh with a year-on-year growth of 8.9%, 1.1 percentage points lower than that of the previous year, accounting for 14.2% of the total. In the same period, domestic power consumption in rural and urban areas reached 280.6TWh with a year-on-year growth of 3.6%, 5.9 percentage points lower than that of the previous year, accounting for 14.5% of the total.
